Start kit Youtuber : I start my Youtube channel. What equipment should I buy?

You start your youtube channel.

You necessarily wonder you need your new equipment such as camera, mic, light, even drone etc ...

To get quality video, you may need ...

- Good camera for beginner Youtuber.

- Camera with integrated Wifi

- Gimbal

- Shotgun microphone.

- Lapel microphone.

- Audio recorder

- software 

- Storage Disk

- etc....


Yes, you need it all according to your objectives of your channel.

BUT WAIT!  not necessarily right away.


  • Make Youtube videos with a smartphone is perfect for beginer.

Buying everything up front is not a good idea.
It's even a bad idea.

You have invested a lot of money to buy new camera, mic, recorder, lighting, storage, pc... without knowing if your channel will be really monetized, and if it ever does not work well ... What will you do with all these gears?

I always advise you to go step by step. 

Start by working with what you already have. Your smartphone is perfect tool for it.

And start work your videos : filming, editing, uploading

To edit your video, use free video editing software! Like 
Shotcut
, 
DaVinci Resolve
 ... 



The point is "start by working! Not buying"


By working you will understand and analyze your own needs yourself, and thus you will have time to make a good choice. 

In my example, I started my channel with just my old smartphone, 
then bought the camera (Osmo pocket)
then the recorder (Zoom H1n)
then the binaural mic. (Roland CS-10EM In-Ear Monitors)
etc...
etc...

I repeat. 
start by working! Not buying!

Osmo pocket, feedback on the experience after 1 year of use.

  As you know, I have been making high definition (4k) walking videos for over a year. Contrary to what one thinks for this kind of video, I opted for a very simple, light,  and easy to use equipment. Quite simply, I am not a photographer, nor videographer, nor professional film maker. I have my job as an employee so the time is very tight to do my shoots.  I must therefore be efficient. But very very efficient. no time to waste to assemble my equipment on site and to think about multiple settings on the camera etc. You have to be operational at all times. Especially since I shoot my videos on my way to work in the morning,  during the lunch break and again on the way home. My videos are also my dailies.
